Middle School Assistant Baseball Coach

Overview

JOIN OUR TEAM! Middle School Assistant Baseball Coach BHASD is seeking a Middle School Assistant Baseball Coach to instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. The coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to socially acceptable character development, self discipline, self confidence, and pride of accomplishment in the student athletes.

The coach will upgrade knowledge and skills through coaching clinics, observations, consultation, and similar activities. The success of athletic programs influences the community's image of the district. This position includes the responsibilities of extended time, risk of injury, and due process considerations. In cases not specifically covered, a coach should exercise common sense and good judgment.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Evidence of effective leadership and previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport.
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and willingness to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
• Must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through instructions and actions.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Instruct student athletes in the fundamental skills and strategies of baseball and in physical training. Demonstrate behaviors that promote good sportsmanship, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride of accomplishment. Pursue ongoing knowledge and training through coaching clinics, observations, and consultation. Collaborate with school staff to support the athletic program and student well-being.

• Part Time, no benefits.
• Spring Athletic Season – approximately Feb/March through early June
