Application Developer – Shipping Logistics

This role involves designing and developing a robust cross-platform mobile application and backend system tailored for door-to-door shipping services from the UK to African countries. The application will empower users to seamlessly book shipments, select between air or sea freight, and track their goods in real time from dispatch to delivery. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in mobile app development and backend integration, with a strong understanding of logistics workflows and user experience best practices.

• Develop a cross-platform mobile application (iOS and Android) for booking and managing shipments
• Design and implement a secure backend system to support user accounts, shipment data, and real-time tracking
• Integrate real-time shipment tracking features, including notifications and status updates
• Build user-friendly interfaces for booking, payment, and shipment management
• Ensure seamless communication between mobile app and backend services
• Collaborate on project planning, timeline estimation, and feature prioritization
• Provide technical guidance on logistics and shipping app best practices
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure reliability and performance

• Proven experience in cross-platform mobile app development (e.g., React Native, Flutter)
• Strong backend development skills (Node.js, Python, or similar)
• Familiarity with logistics, shipping, or e-commerce applications
• Experience with real-time data integration and tracking APIs
• Knowledge of secure authentication and data privacy best practices
• Ability to design intuitive user interfaces and smooth user experiences
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Based in the UK or able to work with UK-based clients preferred
• Availability for project-based work with potential for future collaboration
