Family Resource Specialist - Kids First! In everything we do, the needs and concerns of youth and families are our fundamental concern. We help youth become good citizens and assist their families to resolve their problems and to be supportive of their children.
The Family Resource Navigator will be responsible for connecting families with community resources and services to support their needs, and will assist families in identifying resources such as housing, food programs, childcare, healthcare, and educational support. This position requires a strong understanding of community resources and the ability to build relationships with families in need. Responsibilities- Guide families through the process of accessing local, county and state resources, such as housing, food, healthcare, employment, childcare, and financial assistance.
- Advocate for families to ensure they receive the support and services they need in a timely manner.
- Develop individualized plans with families, outlining specific goals and steps to access and utilize resources.
- Transport clients utilizing personal vehicle.
- High School Diploma required.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to a vehicle.
- Pass current, applicable clearances.
- Pass pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends.
