Location: Abraxas Academy, 1000 Academy Dr., Morgantown, PA 19543
Role: Overnight Monitor / Overnight Youth Development Technician
Abraxas Academy provides detention and treatment services for court-committed youth in Berks County, near the Pennsylvania Turnpike. This role involves supervising clients during sleeping hours to ensure safety and security, performing regular room checks, and assisting with the morning wake-up routine to promote growth and development. This is a great role for night owls; a GED or high school diploma is required, and comprehensive paid training will be provided.
Salary: $23.00 per hour •
Job Type: Full-Time •
Shift: Overnight
- Supervise clients during sleeping hours to ensure safety and security
- Complete and document regular room checks throughout the shift
- Assist in the management of the morning wake-up routine by educating, guiding, and directing clients
- High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year applicable experience, or Associate’s Degree preferred (60 credit hours from an accredited college or university)
- At least 21 years of age
- Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34; state and child clearances; FBI if required)
- Physical exam, drug test, TB test
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must pass both federal and state background checks covering crimes including drug-related, violent, sexual abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, and repeated misdemeanors
