Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team.
This is a 2nd Shift opening (3 PM to 11 PM, Monday thru Friday) with some overtime and rotating weekend shifts.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our production facilities, including diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic problem and then make the necessary repairs to our production equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains a clean, safe work area at all times.
- Comply with all GMP requirements.
- Capable of dismantling equipment, removing defective parts and reassembling without supervision.
- Able to read electrical schematics and blueprints; follow directions from manuals.
- Able to interpret work orders and complete in a timely manner.
- Willing to make suggestions on improvements on replacement substitutes.
- When necessary, is able to install plumbing circuits.
- Basic welding knowledge and welding skills.
- Be proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools and manual repair equipment.
- Able to demonstrate ability to create and implement solutions using PLC controllers and ladder logic programming.
- Shows insight with electrical circuits by using methodical steps while troubleshooting electrical problems.
- Demonstrate ability to use advance test equipment to troubleshoot and resolve problems with complex equipment and solutions.
- Demonstrate ability to design and fabricate electronic circuits.
- Ability to teach the operations of new and existing electronically operated equipment and systems to others.
- Able to follow complex procedures, do preventative maintenance and find hidden defects and correct, also update equipment.
- Able to read complex drawings and troubleshoot independently.
- Able to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and replace and update parts to resolve recurring causes.
- Able to read complex pneumatic and air logic drawings and troubleshoot independently, also can develop and install pneumatics circuits without assistance.
- Able to read and troubleshoot hydraulic circuits and systems and replace parts without assistance.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read and record written instructions.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must pass Lock Out/Tag Out and PIT (Power Industrial Truck) certifications.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Millwright skills.
- Experience with PLC's, high speed packaging equipment and bakery equipment a plus.
- Must be NFPA-70E certified.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience with the majority of the job responsibilities listed above.
