Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community is currently seeking a Full-Time Painter to join our incredible Renovations Team!
This individual is responsible for painting the interior and exterior of buildings and facilities; hanging wall paper; repairing and replacing wall vinyl; and finishing surfaces. A qualified candidate will be able to work independently, be flexible, and have initiative to complete assigned job tasks in a timely manner.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Compensation: $19.00-$24.53/hour, dependent upon experience
Primary Responsibilities- Paint interior and exterior surfaces by reading work orders, preparing surfaces, estimating materials, and applying base and finish coats using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Install, hang, and repair wall vinyl and wallpaper, including surface preparation, accurate material estimation, and safe use of adhesives and tools.
- Operate and maintain a variety of painting and maintenance equipment, including paint sprayers, wall vinyl machines, tile cutting machines, ladders, drywall tools, and related supplies.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, residents, and other personnel to receive and complete job-related tasks efficiently.
- Assist maintenance staff with snow and ice removal during emergencies and perform light maintenance duties as needed.
- Previous painting experience.
- Previous drywall finishing experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families.
- Demonstrates high level of customer service skills.
- Demonstrates independent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Accepts additional job responsibilities and schedule changes as they arise.
- Works well independently.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and schedules.
