AboutThe Role
This Electrician Apprentice position is a developmental opportunity for individuals with little to no prior experience in industrial electrical work. The role provides hands‑on training and mentorship to build foundational skills, with the goal of preparing the apprentice for journey certification attained through the state of Pennsylvania and long‑term success in the field.
What You’ll Be Doing- Travel to various quarry sites to service and maintain electrical systems on heavy machinery.
- Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
- Support licensed electricians in troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Safely handle tools, materials, and electrical components.
- High school diploma is required; trade school experience preferred.
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, or machinery used in aggregate production or quality control processes.
- Familiarity with heavy diesel equipment preferred.
- Willingness and ability to learn technical procedures and pursue certification via an established school partnership.
- Successful candidate must submit to post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
- Expectation to pursue certification within two years of commencing employment.
- Role operates primarily in environments where mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels are present.
- $32 per hour starting rate, 401(k) retirement savings plan with automatic company contribution and matching contributions.
