Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical systems in a hotel / casino environment.
  • Perform new installations as required, which includes running new circuits for power and light or for any other equipment that may come onto the property.
  • Working as part of a team you must be willing and able to help in other areas of the Facilities department when needed.
  • Design and implement plans for new installations.
  • Coordinate and schedule outside contractors as needed.
  • Maintain the proper operation of four emergency generators which includes weekly testing and scheduling PMs and repairs with outside vendors.
  • Work in conjunction with the Slot Techs moving power for the slot machines when needed.
  • On occasion will work with outside contractors performing installations or renovations as part of a larger project.
  • Perform some minor troubleshooting on the fire alarm system.
  • Maintain and adequate inventory of needed electrical parts such as ballasts, fittings, devices, boxes, wire, cable conduit etc.
Requirements
  • Must have experience installing all types of conduits related to the electrical trade.
  • Must be able to install, troubleshoot and repair 120/208v, 277/480v and low voltage circuits using various wiring methods.
  • Must be familiar with the various electrical math formulas required for the proper installation of electrical work.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics.
  • Must be able to use various electrical testing equipment.

    Must be able to run circuits for power and lighting use.
  • Must be able to install and/or repair lighting fixtures.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the National Electrical Code.
  • Must have journeyman level experience in the electrical trade with 5 years’ experience.
  • Must have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • A working knowledge of fire alarm system wiring, and operation preferred but not required.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take proactive and strategic approach to issues.
  • Must have the ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Must have the ability to work as a team or on your own.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized and detailed.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills is preferred.
