Plant Health Care Technician

Come join Joshua Tree Experts as the Plant Health Care Technician where you will manage an assigned territory of residential and commercial properties providing Integrated Pest Management treatments.

• Complete daily assigned work in a timely, efficient manner
• Build professional and trusting relationships with clients
• Prepare truck daily by ensuring proper product selection and promotional materials
• Diagnose and treat a variety of common issues related to ornamental trees and shrubs
• Recommend treatments to clients to improve overall health of trees and shrubs
• Identify issues related to other Joshua Tree Experts provided services
• Provide excellent customer service to new and existing clients
• Operate all assigned equipment in a safe manner
• Complete daily truck inspections and identify needed maintenance services
• Perform basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment, notify Department Supervisor of needed repairs beyond technicians’ capabilities
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations regarding vehicles and equipment
• Complete all paperwork and product information accurately
• Meet or exceed daily production goals
• Meet or exceed performance goals, as assigned by Department Supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to utilize plant health care equipment including but not limited to spray rig, backpack sprayer, air spade, and other arboriculture equipment
• Ability to identify and diagnose ornamental tree and shrub issues
• Ability to identify hazardous situations
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends if necessary

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience in plant health care application services is preferred
• PA Pesticide Applicators License in CORE and CAT 6 is preferred

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs at one time, repeatedly throughout the day
• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk up steep hills while pushing or dragging equipment
