Main Office - Malvern, PA - Daily customer visits required. Type:
Full-Time | Multiple Positions Available.
We are an established telecommunications and VoIP Internet Telephony Service Provider (ITSP) serving the Mid-Atlantic region. We deliver advanced voice and data solutions to businesses, from cloud-hosted VoIP to premise-based PBX systems. We’re expanding our field team and looking for motivated individuals who want to build a career in telecom. Experience is not required—we provide paid manufacturer training and hands-on mentorship from seasoned technicians.
Role OverviewAs a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be on the front lines of keeping our customers connected. You will install, program, and maintain both cloud and on-premises telecom systems, including VoIP platforms, PBX hardware, and related network infrastructure. You’ll gain certifications on supported equipment and work with a variety of technologies in real-world environments.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and service VoIP and PBX systems (cloud and premise-based).
- Perform on-site and remote troubleshooting of telephony and related network issues.
- Conduct line testing, cable terminations, and equipment programming.
- Maintain accurate service records in our ticketing system.
- Provide clear, professional communication with customers during service calls.
- Stay current with telecom technologies through ongoing training.
- Travel daily to customer sites; occasional extended travel for installations.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for urgent service needs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, IP addressing, QoS for voice)
- Familiarity with VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP) and PBX systems preferred.
- Experience with Mitel 200, MiVB, MiVO 250, or NEC SV9100 a plus.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow installation standards.
- Comfortable using hand tools, ladders, and telecom test equipment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- High school diploma or post-secondary technical training.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
