Job Description
Position Summary
: A Paint Outside Sales Representative drives revenue by proactively identifying and securing new commercial/residential clients while managing existing accounts within an assigned territory. They build relationships with contractors and painters, provide technical product expertise, conduct on-site demos, and achieve gallon-growth targets through relationship-driven, consultative selling.
- Expand the Company's business within pre-assigned territories.
- Achieve sales goals through the acquisition and development of new customers and expansion of the product line within the existing customer base.
- Develop and target regional accounts and prospects in conjunction with the stores & General Manager.
- Achieve contract, revenue growth, account milestone objectives, and activity expectations within an assigned account/geography.
- Tasked with the responsibility of servicing customers and developing sales in a designated territory.
- Establish new accounts by discovering business opportunities and calling on new customers.
- Put daily tasks, communications, pricing & etc in CRM at end of each day.
- Give product recommendations, application instructions, and quote competitive pricing on coatings for the architectural, commercial, and industrial fields.
- Place orders on behalf of customers and follow-up that orders have been completed in a timely manner.
- Work in conjunction with Store Managers and General Manager to ensure customer needs are met or exceeded.
- Enter special pricing and information for customer projects in POS system.
- Promote Fisher Paints sales & specials, developing creative sales strategies.
- Facilitate company promotional & training events.
- Support the stores with sales and customer service when needed.
- Maintain regular contact with customers to understand needs and identify business opportunities.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.
- Ensure all internal reporting is completed in a timely fashion with correct information.
- Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports to General Manager.
- Regularly communicate with General Manager regarding status and progress of accounts.
- Encourage and develop a team culture with store team members.
- Actively establish and build strong relationships with external and internal partners.
- Achieve defined sales goals, margins, metrics, and objectives while building brand awareness and generating sales.
- Multiple years of Paint Industry and/or Sales experience preferred.
- Must be a self-starter and punctual.
- Strong desire to achieve top results with a positive can-do demeanor.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and close deals.
- Ability to excel at product knowledge, presentation skills, and building client relationships.
- Commitment to ethical behavior and willingness to adhere to company policies, values, & mission.
- Able to pass a background & MVR check.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- High School Diploma.
- Proficient Computer
