Technical Sales Manager - Capital Equipment (SF - 196)

We're seeking a Technical Sales Manager - Capital Equipment (Recycling) to lead business development efforts in the Recycling market for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The main customers include scrap dealers, steel mills, and aluminum mills. This position reports to the North America Sales Area Manager and the Recycling Business Unit Management, focusing on driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and delivering customer-focused technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets in the assigned North American territory.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, understanding operational needs to provide effective solutions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market analysis and competitor benchmarking.
  • Promote recycling equipment solutions such as shredders, pre-shredders, shears, and balers, ensuring alignment with market demand.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries via email, phone, and in-person visits.
  • Prepare accurate visit reports and maintain regular communication with leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal teams-engineering, marketing, and product development-to support customized proposals.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals that meet customer and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain and update the customer database to ensure pipeline accuracy and visibility.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with capital equipment or recycling machinery (preferably for ferrous and non-ferrous applications).
  • Strong technical understanding and existing network within the North American recycling industry.
  • Proven sales success in high-value, capital equipment markets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent technical communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada, with occasional global travel.
