Job Summary

As a Sales Engineer – Aflex PTFE Hoses, you will play a key role in driving sustainable growth across Switzerland and Eastern France by developing strong customer partnerships and delivering technically robust hose solutions. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will combine deep application knowledge with commercial insight to support customers operating in highly regulated environments, with a strong focus on life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and biotech.

You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and positioning Aflex PTFE hoses as the solution of choice for critical process applications. Success in this role requires a proactive, self-driven mindset, the ability to operate autonomously across a large territory, and confidence engaging with customers at both technical and commercial levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consultative Selling:
    Engage customers using a consultative sales approach, taking time to understand their process requirements, application challenges, and regulatory considerations. Translate these needs into tailored PTFE hose solutions that deliver reliability, compliance, and long-term value.
  • Business Development & Territory Growth:
    Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory, building a strong pipeline across life science, pharmaceutical, biotech, and adjacent sectors. Develop strategic plans to grow Aflex presence and market share in the region.
  • Customer Partnering:
    Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers by acting as a technical expert and trusted point of contact. Provide guidance on hose selection, application suitability, and performance to support critical customer processes.
  • Technical Expertise & Product Promotion:
    Deliver technical sales presentations, demonstrations, and discussions, clearly articulating the features, benefits, and applications of Aflex PTFE hoses. Support customers through specification, selection, and implementation phases.
  • Account Management & Sales Performance:
    Manage customer opportunities from initial engagement through to order, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate quotations, and achievement of agreed sales targets. Contribute directly to the overall growth of Aflex within the region.
  • Internal

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with internal sales support, operations, and logistics teams to ensure customer requirements are met and solutions are delivered effectively and on time.
  • CRM & Sales Reporting:
    Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and forecasts using CRM tools to support pipeline visibility and business planning.
Skills/Experience
  • Proven experience in technical sales, ideally within hoses or a closely related engineered products environment.
  • Existing customer relationships within the target sectors and territory.
  • Knowledge of life science, pharmaceutical, and biotech industry standards and applications.
  • Strong understanding of PTFE hose applications and associated technologies.
  • Experience selling into life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotech customers, with an appreciation of regulatory and validation requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a large geographical territory effectively.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluent in German, French, and English (written and spoken).
