Job Description
A well-respected local ag retailer is seeking a Sales Agronomist who enjoys working directly with growers, building relationships, and providing trusted agronomic advice across Pennsylvania's diverse cropping systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recommend seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products based on grower needs
- Build strong, long-term relationships with local growers
- Develop sales proposals, presentations, and contracts
- Collaborate with other agronomy staff on service and support
- Track and forecast seasonal product needs
- Stay current on agronomy services and precision ag technology
- Support grower success through in-field consultation and planning
- Degree or experience in Agronomy, Crop Science, or Ag Business
- 2+ years of agronomy or ag retail experience preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with a valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally
