Deli Slicer

The Deli Slicer is responsible for accurately slicing, weighing, and packaging deli meats and cheeses using commercial deli slicing equipment. This position requires prior hands‑on experience operating deli slicers, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards for quality and cleanliness.

• Safely operate commercial deli slicing equipment to slice meats and cheeses to specified thickness and weight
• Accurately package, label, and present products according to company standards
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized slicing area at all times
• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble deli slicers according to food safety and equipment guidelines
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Monitor product quality and rotation to ensure freshness and compliance
• Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy and consistency
• Provide professional, courteous service when interacting with customers
• Communicate effectively with deli and market team members
• Willingness to learn and fulfill a clerking role as needed

• Ability to slice products consistently to customer or company specifications
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

• Experience working in a grocery store, deli, or food service environment
• Prior experience operating commercial deli slicing equipment is required
• Demonstrated knowledge of deli slicer safety procedures
• Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
• Experience working in refrigerated environments

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds consistently
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm motions
