eCommerce Assistant Manager
Classification:
Non-exempt, subject to overtime provisions of Fair Labor Standards Act.
Revision Date: 1/2026
The position assists the Manager with day to day operations while overseeing employees. Will require processing items, writing descriptions and shipping items. Involved in development of salvage material online reselling.
Qualifications- Education:
No formal education is required. - Experience:
Experience with online sales and second‑hand market value knowledge is preferred. Computer skills. - Supervisory
Experience:
Preferred. - Clearances:
Must be able to obtain acceptable results for required background checks, including Act 151 Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance and Pennsylvania Criminal History Check. Goodwill will pay for these clearances.
The eCommerce Assistant Manager functions under the direction of the Regional Manager & eCommerce Manager.
Skills, Abilities, Duties, and Responsibilities- Ability to use technology effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping of all items processed.
- Knowledge of antiques and collectibles to ensure items are correctly identified and priced.
- Ability to supervise and train other employees.
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the eComm area and ensuring items are stored neatly.
- Prepares orders for shipments so that they arrive safely to the buyers.
- Need to follow Goodwill’s policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for staff and customers.
- Ability to perform basic job duties with a minimal amount of supervision, exercising good judgment and initiative.
- Operating a pallet jack.
- Utilizing the UKG systems by clocking in and out and submitting timesheets on time.
- Completing all required training throughout the year.
- Work congenitally and effectively with other Goodwill store employees and agency employees.
- Maintain hygiene and grooming standards.
- Communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including evenings, weekends, holidays and occasionally long hours (more than 8 hours).
- Must be dependable in attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to perform prolonged walking and standing.
- Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Vision and hearing corrected to within normal limits.
