Crew Members help with customer needs as they enter and interact in the store, working the front counter, providing customer service, making sandwiches, and interacting with customers and co‑workers on a continual basis. They also complete other tasks associated with operating a store. The expectation of any employee is to uphold the highest level of all of Jersey Mike’s operational standards.
PrincipalResponsibilities
- Provide food that meets Jersey Mike’s specifications and high‑quality standards
- Provide service that is above and beyond for the customer
- Maintain a clean store and workplace
- Set up the store, including food preparation
- Perform food safety and sanitation tasks, including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, etc.
- Use slicer (18 years old and above only)
- Use tomato slicer (17 years old and above only)
- Follow directives of General Manager in execution of responsibilities
Job Requirements
- Food quality that meets Jersey Mike’s specifications and high‑quality standards
- Providing customer service at the highest level possible throughout the restaurant
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers and co‑workers on a consistent basis
- A restaurant that follows standards of Jersey Mike’s Franchise System
- 0‑1 year experience in food service
- 0‑1 year experience in cash handling
Incumbent performs constant vigorous physical tasks requiring long periods of standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and lifting, with moderate muscular strain. Must be able to lift and carry up to at least fifty (50) pounds unassisted. Periodic local travel required.
