Food Prep & Service Associate - 1st Shift

JOB SUMMARY: The team member is responsible for performing all duties, including but not limited to prepping and stocking the micro market, hot food line, and/or sandwich/salad station, following all recipes as provided by the café, and assisting in other kitchen areas such as restocking and cleaning. The member takes a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are being produced by immediately addressing any safety and/or quality concerns.

• Prep and stock the micro market daily.
• Rotate items according to dates following product guidelines.
• Maintain food cases with regard to product and rotation.
• Put away product orders that are delivered.
• Maintain beverage areas with beverages and supplies.
• Produce various food products following recipe book provided by café.
• Follow prep list and maintain pars of on‑hand products.
• Assist kitchen in areas as needed, such as restocking and cleanliness.
• Serve team members on hot line, grill and/or sandwich/salad stations.
• Properly use and clean all equipment within the kitchen.
• Complete monthly training as dictated by company policies.
• Operate register or dishwashing station as needed, if required.

EDUCATION AND/OR

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience is preferred, but not required for this position. No formal education is required.

LANGUAGE

SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English or Spanish, such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete checklists.
