## Senior Technical Expert Kaiseraugst, Switzerland Join dsm-firmenich as Senior Technical Expert in our ANH Formulation team and drive innovation in animal nutrition. Based in Kaiseraugst, you’ll lead the design and development of advanced formulations for fat- and water-soluble actives, collaborating with scientists and technicians on cutting-edge projects. From lab-scale trials to complex physical and chemical characterization, you’ll shape solutions that challenge the status quo and deliver sustainable impact.

** Your key responsibilities
*** Develop new product forms of fat-soluble and water-soluble actives, focusing on vitamins, carotenoids, and eubiotics to support animal health
* Formulation of product forms using emulsification, milling, spray drying, extrusion, and related formulation technologies
* Analytical investigation and characterization of product forms (UV/VIS spectroscopy, particle size distribution, viscosity, rheology, microscopy, colorimetry, turbidity measurement, differential scanning calorimetry, etc.)
* Execution, interpretation, and reporting of the trials carried out and occasional presentation of the results
* Actively support idea generation on trial design for further development of formulation recipes and processes based on observations and evaluation of analytical characterization data
* Improvement of existing laboratory procedures and evaluation of new technologies

** You bring
*** Apprenticeship as chemical laboratory technician, technologist (chemical/pharma/food), or bachelor’s degree.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in a technical laboratory environment, ideally with fat-soluble active ingredients and
** proven hands-on spray-drying expertise**.
* Knowledge of formulation technologies (emulsification, milling, extrusion) and/or analytical devices (UV spectroscopy, DSC, rheology, colorimetry).
* Strong technical understanding, enthusiasm for lab equipment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Flexible, independent, collaborative, and highly organized with a solution-oriented mindset.
* Excellent English communication skills;
German and experience in multinational, interdisciplinary environments are assets.
