Position SummarySupport membrane protein expression, purification, and characterization to advance biotherapeutics development in a collaborative multi‑team environment. The role includes hands‑on laboratory work, cross‑functional collaboration, and contributing to both internal and external protein production efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Support membrane protein expression and purification
- Conduct protein production, purification, and characterization
- Characterize and perform quality checks of membrane proteins to support biotherapeutic development
- Collaborate effectively in a multi‑team environment
- Contribute to both internal and external efforts in membrane protein production
Minimum of a BS degree with 2‑4 years of academic/industry experience or an MS degree with 1‑2 years of experience.
Experience and Skills Required- Experience with membrane protein expression and optimization, purification, and characterization
- Well‑versed with analytical characterization to determine quality, conformation, purity, and stability
- Knowledge of protein expression construct design and optimization, and expression platforms
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external partners
- Proficient in protein purification optimization, detergent screening, and reconstitutions into lipid nanodiscs
- Experience independently operating AKTA FPLC and analytical HPLC instruments
- Experience in generating DNA/RNA constructs or other tools as antigen for supporting antibody discovery
- Knowledge and experience with CROs for protein production
