Location: Bensalem

The Quality Assurance Inspector will perform a variety of duties related to the control of the incoming product as well as the inspection of the final product prior to shipping. The duties of this position do not require exercising independent judgment. Reports to the Manager of Manufacturing Operations-Bensalem.

Responsibilities:
  • Work from drawings, specifications, work orders, and verbal instructions from the supervisor
  • Review paperwork and select appropriate measuring equipment and plan procedures to be used
  • Perform first-piece inspection. Determine critical and reference dimensions. If parts are not in tolerance, discuss the problem with the area supervisor and assist with corrective action
  • Provide in-process inspection daily. Inspect parts per AQL and note trends. Assist production technicians to rectify deviations. Suggest changes to improve quality
  • Perform final inspection of completed parts and review rejected parts and complete appropriate documentation
  • Inspect in-coming material and verify specifications; inspect parts made by vendors
  • Perform various tasks on assigned quality projects
  • Calibrate measuring devices and equipment; complete necessary records to validate procedures
  • Assist with calibration documentation
  • Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • 3
    -5 years of inspection, machining, assembly, or field service experience
  • Hydraulic experience a plus
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language proficiently enough to communicate with co-workers and industry associates, understand directions, respond to management inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment interacting with a wide array of departments is preferred
