Overview

Delmont Veterinary Hospital is seeking a third veterinarian to join our small, well-established practice. The team includes two veterinarians who aim to mentor a future member of the veterinary field toward a successful career.

Delmont Veterinary Hospital is owned and operated by Dr. Elizabeth

A. Harr, who has 28 years of experience and specializes in reproduction. Dr. Harr maintains an open-minded approach to both Western and Eastern medicine and welcomes new ideas.

• Provide compassionate, motivated clinical care including diagnostic workups and surgery as part of progressive clinical medicine.
• Be open to innovative ideas and share current knowledge to help our practice remain outstanding.
• Work some evenings as needed.
• Participate in in-house diagnostic workups and surgeries; refer patients to specialty hospitals when appropriate.
• Contribute to a team environment that supports mentoring and professional growth.

We perform a significant amount of diagnostic work and surgery. The hospital houses an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, EKG, dental x-ray, and cold laser therapy. We are strictly a small animal hospital with about 5,500 patients. We refer patients to several specialty hospitals in the area as needed.

Salaries are based on experience and motivation and range from $100,000 to $140,000. Benefits include hospitalization, dental, eye care, dues and memberships, continuing education allowance, conference time off, professional license fees, paid vacation days, and sick days for all staff.

There is also an opportunity to buy into the clinic in the future.

Delmont Veterinary Hospital is located 30 miles east of Pittsburgh. Normal hours are Wednesday and Thursday 9:00–7:00, and Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 9:00–5:00.
