Position: Certified Nurse Practitioner - IRMC Physician Group New Alexandria Office - Primary Care - Full Time
Location: New Alexandria

IRMC is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner for our Primary Care.

RESPONSIBILITY:
The CRNP shall have the knowledge and competency to perform the following functions:

An AAP dependent practitioner who practices under the direction and supervision of a physician with clinical privileges that may include assessment of patient, implementation of physician directed treatment plans (including tests, treatments, ordering approved medication, etc.) and performing or assisting physician approved procedure. Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and ability to care for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Provides clinical privileges as set forth in the Nurse Practitioner Activity List.

RESPONSIBILITY:
The CRNP shall have the knowledge and competency to perform the following functions:

Minimum

Education Required:

1. Graduation from an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner School

2. Graduation from an accredited AMA committee of the allied health program

Licensure/Certification

Required:

Certification by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.

2. Licensed to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

3. Maintains current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification - Required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire

4. Must be BLS certified or obtain within one month of hire

Skills:

* Must possess interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, family, and other members of the healthcare team

* Must possess hearing and visual acuity necessary to carry out the essential functions of the position

* Must adhere to the responsibilities and functions of the Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State Board of Nursing Code of Professional and Vocational Standards

* Meets criteria for Allied Health Professional status at Indiana Regional Medical Center

Desired

Experience:

1. Past experience as a CRNP, RN or equivalent.

2. Experience utilizing telehealth equipment and processes.
