The primary function of the Assistant Director of Nursing is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, managing, and directing the day‑to‑day functions of the SNF Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing will work alongside the Director of Nursing with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times.
Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures. You will also oversee the planning, organization, development, direction, and evaluation of the infection prevention and control program throughout the Community in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations. This includes ensuring that current standards of practice related to infection prevention and control are incorporated in resident care and employee actions and identifying Community training needs based on infection surveillance and process/outcome measurement, developing training plans and materials, as well as evaluating efficacy of training provided.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a hospital, nursing facility or other related healthcare facility, preferably in long term care.
- Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
- Maintain an active CPR or BLS Certification
- Be qualified by education, training, experience certification, or a combination of these to meet the position requirements.
- Must have completed (or complete within first week of hire) specialized training in infection prevention and control, including state‑specific training required. We will assist with obtaining required certification if needed.
- Full‑Time Opportunity Available
- Shifts Needed:
Monday - Friday, 7:00a – 3:30p - On Call Rotation
- Wage:
Starting at $50.00 per hour - Sign On Bonus: $10,000
- Paid Out Quarterly Over One Year
