Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner

MONGAHELA, PENNSYLVANIA. Penn Highlands Healthcare has an opportunity for emergency medicine nurse practitioner to join our team in Penn Highlands Health cares Southwest Region.

Penn Highlands Mon Valley - 30 minutes SE of Pittsbugh, PA:

• Approximately 20,000 Annual Visits

• Glidescope and bedside ultrasound in the ED
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions within the scope of your practice
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about their healthcare needs, treatments, and lifestyle changes
• Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate within state guidelines
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations

Qualifications:

• Education:
  
  Masters degree in Nursing, with certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Licensure:
  Current NP licensure in Pennsylvania, or the ability to obtain licensure
• Experience:
  
  Prior experience as an NP in a healthcare setting preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
