Per-Diem Nurse Position

Alpine Springs Rehabilitation and Recovery is a drug and alcohol recovery center located in Greenville (Withdrawal Management/Detox) and Linesville (Clinically Managed residential), PA that offers individualized treatment using evidence‑based practices to those struggling with addiction. The facility is open 24/7.

Position’s Scope

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) provides the day‑to‑day nursing care of the clients and ensures their safe care throughout the withdrawal management process in accordance with Alpine Springs policies, federal and state laws, PA Health Department, DDAP, and CARF standards.

Responsibilities
  • Works collaboratively with the Lead Nurse and the Medical Director to accomplish all departmental goals.
  • Manage and order nursing supplies.
  • Monitor clients’ medications.
  • Maintain records and reports including documenting progress of detox clients.
  • Monitor clients to ensure safety.
  • Monitor clients through a safe detox.
  • Maintain a safe environment for storage of narcotics.
  • Conduct alcohol and other drug related ASAM assessments during admission and ongoing.
  • Take doctor’s orders accurately.
  • Administer medications to clients independently.
  • Monitor withdrawal symptoms in detox clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Complete inspections of all medical supplies and medications.
  • Maintain and meet Environment of Care standards.
  • Participate in performance management activities including client complaints and incident reporting.
  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of the CARF standards through scheduled management meetings.
  • Provide direction to nursing staff.
  • Schedule nursing staff appropriately.
  • Ensure Pre‑certifications and Insurance Reviews are completed by nursing staff.
  • Occasional travel to the Linesville location will be required.
  • Perform any duties as assigned dictated by the needs of the business.

Job Type: Per‑Diem (casual work, as needed).

Pay Range:
Competitive Hourly Wage; DOE.

Hours Of Work
  • Alpine Springs operates on a 24‑hour per day and 7‑day per week schedule. Employees are assigned shifts to accommodate these hours. All employees are expected to be flexible and understand that they may be asked to work different shifts/ at different sites to aid in covering the hours of the company.
  • Per‑Diem Employees:
    These employees will work on an as required basis. All employees who are per‑diem will be required to work at least 8‑hours per month.
Location and Shift Schedule
  • Greenville facility (Withdrawal Management/Detox) or Linesville facility (Clinically Managed residential).
  • Shift work: 8‑hour or 12‑hour shifts.
Qualifications And Requirements
  • Valid PA LPN or RN licensure.
  • Valid driver’s license with a minimum 3‑year safe driving record.
  • Per‑Diem positions are required to work at least 8‑hours per month.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but will train).
  • Flexibility (facility is open 24/7).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good organization and leadership skills.
  • Aptitude in resolving issues and conflicts.
