Graduate Nurse - Child Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient - Days or Evenings

Join Well Span Health as a Graduate Nurse in the Child Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. This full‑time position (80 hours biweekly) offers days or evenings shifts with weekend and holiday rotations.

Hours & Schedule

• Days or Evenings; (2) 8‑hour shifts & (2) 12‑hour shifts – 7 am to 3:30 pm OR 3 pm to 11:30 pm & 3 am to 3 pm OR 3 pm to 3 am.
• Every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Compensation & Incentives

• 10% weekend differential and 10% shift differential.
• Sign‑on bonus eligible.

Unit Overview

• 42‑bed inpatient unit serving ages 4–18 with diagnostic assessment, stabilization, and individualized treatment.
• Interdisciplinary therapeutic milieu, including therapeutic groups and family treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate direct patient care following patient and family‑centered care principles.
• Administer prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions safely and independently.
• Organize and prioritize time based on patient condition and workload; identify and respond to changes in patient status.
• Seek mentorship from CN II & III and communicate patient needs during transitions of care.
• Document patient responses, progress, variances, and use EHR, flow sheets, and progress notes accurately.
• Identify opportunities for professional growth and contribute to evidence‑based practice and performance improvement.
• Promote a collaborative, patient‑safety culture through interdisciplinary teamwork and conflict resolution.
• Delegate nursing tasks to assistive personnel and monitor task completion.
• Participate in shared decision‑making and unit committee activities.
• Adapt duties to assigned unit requirements; follow RN core competencies and specific skill lists.

Physical Demands

• Standing, walking, sitting, kneeling/crouching; repetitive motions; reaching, eye/hand/foot coordination.
• Carrying/lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Talking, hearing frequently.

Qualifications

• Minimum education:
  
  Diploma, Associate's Degree, or BSN preferred.
• Experience:
  
  No experience required.
• Licenses:
  Licensed RN upon hire required;
  Multi‑State RN and Basic Life Support upon hire required.
