Purdue Global's Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is designed to prepare advanced practice nurses to thrive in today s rapidly changing health care environment. With the shrinking number of primary care providers, the nursing shortage, and the increasing complexity of patient care, the field of nursing needs clinical experts and leaders with the highest level of scientific knowledge and expertise.

Practice experiences are designed to empower you to integrate theory and scientific evidence in the quality improvement of health care systems or in population health for the nation’s major health care concerns.

The program culminates in a practice-focused final project that showcases your ability to synthesize scientific evidence and develop new systems or population health approaches. Under the mentorship of a DNP consultant and in collaboration with a practice site mentor, you’ll complete a project that translates nursing research into real-world outcomes within a practice setting.
