As an Infection Preventionist Registered Nurse, you will have an opportunity to utilize your thorough understanding of infectious diseases and implement effective prevention and control measures. You will work closely with the Nursing Director, Medical Director, and Staff Physicians to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals within South Mountain Restoration Center. Your duties will include monitoring and assessing potential risks, developing and implementing protocols, and providing education and training to staff on infection control practices.
Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting and responding to any critical incidents or high-risk situations. Your strong decision-making skills, based on your professional training and job knowledge, will be key in effectively managing and mitigating the spread of infectious diseased within the facility.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirement:
- Two years of professional nursing experience in a healthcare facility.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of an Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Certificate of Mastery issued by the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care (NADONALTC), possession of an active Certified in Infection Control (CIC) certification as issued by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC), or possession of an active Long-Term Care Certification in Infection Prevention (LTC-CIP) certification as issued by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC).
- This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
