Key Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia and provide comprehensive perioperative care for patients undergoing primarily orthopedic and some ophthalmologic procedures.
- Conduct pre‑anesthetic evaluations, develop tailored anesthesia care plans, and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort through precise anesthesia administration and vigilant intraoperative monitoring.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia care in compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and foster a patient‑centered culture within the facility.
This position features a consistent 4‑day workweek, typically Monday through Thursday, with an average workday of 8 hours. Some days may be shorter, while others may extend slightly based on case volume. The facility specializes in orthopedic procedures with some eye surgeries, offering a focused caseload that supports efficiency and expertise. With no weekend or on‑call duties, this role promotes an excellent work‑life balance.
Additionally, the position includes 6 weeks of paid time off annually, providing ample opportunity for rest, travel, or personal pursuits.
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Valid Pennsylvania state nursing license and eligibility to practice as an independent contractor.
- Minimum of 2 years of CRNA experience, with preference for expertise in orthopedic and ophthalmologic cases.
