Hillcrest Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church in Wayne County, Indiana. Our church has a 60-year history, under the leadership of five different Pastor. The church is closely associated with the BBFI, has been through three building projects and supports around 35 missionaries. We have a long history of being a soul-winning church, and there have been several past members of HBC who have surrendered and entered into full-time ministry.
We are a congregation with conservative values and blended worship, which meets on Sunday mornings, as well as Wednesday nights. Our church is one of just a few in the area with a bus ministry. Everyone who enters the doors of HBC are welcome, no matter if they are dressed formerly or casually. We have regular events and activities for children, teens, men and women, and a healthy demographic from nursery all the way up to senior citizens.
Our current Sunday morning attendance is around 200-225. There are a total of 5 staff members, (3 full-time and 2 part time) who are working together with multiple church officers to keep things running smoothly during this time of transition.
After many years of service our Pastor is retiring January 2026. To fill his shoes, we are looking for a Man of God, called to Pastor, called to Preach the Word, called to disciple others, and called to lead others to Christ. Our desire is to hire a Pastor with at least a 4-year Bachelor’s degree, from a recognized Baptist seminary, Bible College or university.
We are looking for someone who is Baptist ordained, and who has previous experience as an Associate and/or Senior Pastor. They should also be one who is committed to: the traditions of HBC, her mission in outreach, and her philosophy and style.
We are looking to call a Senior Pastor who will:
- Lead HBC according to Biblical Principles.
- Preach, exhort and admonish her members.
- Train, teach and mentor her disciples.
- Grow HBC, spiritually, and numerically.
