Program Associate

Position Summary:
Unity to Serve International is seeking a motivated and organized Program Associate to join the Programs Department. This full-time position provides critical support to program implementation and coordination aimed at assisting immigrant, refugee, and low-income communities. Reporting to the Program Officer, the Program Associate will assist in client services, program documentation, community outreach, and administrative tasks to ensure effective service delivery and program success.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist with client intake processes, including scheduling and basic data entry, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Support clients in accessing services by providing referrals to housing, employment, legal aid, public benefits, and healthcare resources.
• Help coordinate workshops, training sessions, and community events related to education, legal rights, job readiness, and health promotion.
• Maintain organized program records, including service logs, case notes, and attendance tracking.
• Assist with data collection, reporting, and preparation of program materials for internal and external use.
• Support communication and relationship building with community partners, service providers, and government agencies.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve program processes.
• Respond to client inquiries and escalate urgent issues to Program Officers or supervisors as needed.
• Perform other administrative and program support duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in program support, case management, or related human services roles.
• Familiarity with immigrant and refugee services, public benefits, and community resources is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
• Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to agency policies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn case management software.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred (especially Dari, Pashto, Spanish, Arabic, or Farsi).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred; occasional local travel may be required.

Compensation:
$40,000 – $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Unity to Serve International – Based in California. Primarily in-person with some flexibility depending on program needs.
