Sr. Director- US Vaccines Portfolio Marketing Lead Why Patients Need You

Pfizer has pioneered innovation in vaccines for over 25 years and in most recent years has developed an industry leading portfolio of assets aligned to CDC/ACIP recommendations. The time is now to elevate how we think about our value to the marketplace, our customers and their patients by bringing a higher impact portfolio value to the marketplace and customers to complement our brand specific strategies and execution.

Pfizer has created a new organization designed to lead portfolio marketing efforts in priority areas complementing brand teams by driving scale, consistency, and portfolio level impact.

What You Will Achieve

As the lead of this newly formed marketing team you will be accountable for the development, design and delivery of Pfizer's US Vaccines Portfolio Marketing Strategy, leading a team of marketers focused on strategy and breakthrough execution at scale with two key focus areas: #1- vaccine external engagement and #2- vaccine implementation programs.

The US Vaccines Portfolio Marketing Lead oversees a marketing organization of 6 colleagues as direct reports who are focuses on portfolio external engagement and portfolio vaccine implementation programs.

Our portfolio approaches in these areas will complement brand strategies and executions, will maximize the Pfizer value proposition to customers and grow immunization rates in line with CDC/ACIP guidelines and brand strategies.

You will lead a cross-functional team leading with internal partners (Brand Teams, Field Teams, Medical, Retail & Access, Legal, Regulatory, Digital/Tech, Training, Marketing CoE) and leverage key external strategic partners to maximize budget/resources, driving best-in-class portfolio strategies and execution, while measuring performance and driving continuous improvement to exceed business objectives and immunization rate targets in specific disease areas.

Scope and impact

This work will have broad scope and impact working across every Pfizer brand/asset, all key customer segments, with the scale to deliver meaningful change in the external market which accelerates business objectives.

Key measures of success

Deployment of portfolio marketing campaigns with high impact on market, Scaling of existing and new implementation programs which increase immunization rates, Exceeding annual commercial objectives, Exceeding immunization rate growth targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable and responsible for delivering the US vaccines in-line portfolio strategy and driving execution across internal and external partners to meet key performance measures/outcomes
  • Accountable for determination of key external stakeholders, priority segments/customers, communication/promotional/engagement strategies and execution
  • Lead a marketing team dedicated to development of external engagement strategies and campaigns to address key/priority belief and behavior change opportunities including- closing HCP/Consumer perception gap, improving impact of HCP recommendations, identification and prioritization of opportunities w/ overlapping populations (e.g. Underlying Medical Conditions), development of integrated portfolio engagement plan across key opinion leaders/external experts/professional associations/congresses
  • Lead a marketing team dedicated to the prioritization, development and execution of opportunities to increase vaccine implementation/utilization including
    - Reminder Recall/Adherence programs, Health Information Technology Strategy & Execution, key external partnerships that advance vaccine implementation (e.g. AMGA vaccine confidence in coverage, growing IZ rates, Part D adjudication)
  • Coach & develop team of marketers to develop marketing skills, capabilities and competencies while supporting career planning, development and progression
  • Lead cross functional team across key internal and external partners to build integrated learning and measurement plan for execution against objectives
  • Contribute to achieving business unit revenue commitments and responsibly maximizing SI&A budget
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree with 12+ years of sales / marketing pharmaceutical experiences
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree with 15+ years of sales / marketing pharmaceutical experiences
  • Vaccines sales / marketing experience
  • Health Information Technology, Population Based Decision Maker, KOL/EE/Professional Association marketing experiences
  • Experience leading, coaching, developing sales / marketing teams

Limited travel expectations:
Travel may include attendance at sales meetings and field rides
