Public Relations & Marketing Specialist

Join the Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA) as a Public Relations & Marketing Specialist.

The purpose of this position is to manage all aspects of public and media relations, marketing, advertising, and a majority of the customer-facing, transit user information efforts for the Authority. This includes the Authority's web-based and social media presence.

• In-depth knowledge of marketing, advertising, and public relations techniques, including social media.
• Strong written and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office programs and advanced desktop publishing programs such as Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Working knowledge of the Word Press platform.
• Ability to quickly learn other computer applications and programs.
• Familiar with Virtual Public Involvement (VPI) strategies.

The starting salary is $53,182, or commensurate with experience
.
