Job DescriptionThe Delaware County Intermediate Unit is seeking a talented, creative, and motivated Marketing and Communications Specialist with experience in video production, podcast production, photography, writing, social media, and graphic design to contribute a variety of supports to the Director of Marketing and Communications. The Specialist will create video, audio, written, and graphic content that effectively communicate DCIU’s mission and engages our target audiences.
The Specialist will develop and execute marketing strategies, craft and produce compelling content, manage communication channels, strengthen customer and stakeholder partnerships, and contribute to the branding and marketing efforts within the DCIU.
KEY FUNCTIONS
- Assists in the development of marketing and communications for the DCIU with the purpose to brand, showcase, and promote DCIU services and programs and share events and developments within the DCIU.
- Develop, design, and produce compelling and innovative communications and marketing content including but not limited to website content, newsletters, social media posts, multimedia presentations, brochures, and emails.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Team to assess the return on investment (ROI) for marketing and communication strategies and campaigns.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic communications and marketing campaigns for the purpose of achieving defined objectives set by the Executive Director and Director of Marketing and Communications.
- Communicate with various contacts including legislators, the press, and community partners.
- Deliver and monitor content via newsletters, social media, email, and other vehicles for the purpose of communications and increasing awareness of DCIU’s brand, visibility, and value.
- Assist in creating content and providing support for a wide range of events, including fundraisers, recognition programs, competitions, and meetings hosted by DCIU.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Team and DCIU divisions to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, branding, visuals, and user experience.
- Maintain a variety of databases (e.g. calendars, schedules and event registration, etc.) for the purpose of coordinating projects to ensure accuracy and necessary completion.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Marketing and Communications team.
Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in job related areas (including communications, marketing, video production, public relations, government relations)
Experience
Required:
Superior written, verbal, and multi-media communication skills, graphic content creation, knowledge of communications and marketing functions, and social media creation and publication skills.
Experience Preferred: Two years of job-related experience.

Position Type: Full-TimeSalary: $54,634 to $65,561 Per Year
