About the Internship:
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Reliability Engineer Intern to support our Reliability and Maintenance teams. This internship offers hands‑on experience focused on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives. The intern will work closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations to support data‑driven reliability improvements.
Location: 851 Hemlock Road, Morgantown, PA
Duration: Approximately 13 weeks (May 18th – August 14th)
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
* Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide your own housing
- Support reliability initiatives aimed at improving equipment uptime and performance.
- Track equipment performance metrics and downtime events across production lines.
- Assist with CMMS data entry and work order documentation.
- Collect failure data on key assets.
- Help develop, refine, and standardize preventative maintenance (PM) procedures.
- Participate in equipment failure analysis and root cause problem‑solving activities.
- Lead smaller‑scale reliability improvement projects.
- Assist with creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and visual work instructions.
- Participate in time studies, asset utilization reviews, and reliability assessments.
- Assist with continuous improvement and lean initiatives related to equipment and processes.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, trends, and recommendations.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field), Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
- Interest in equipment reliability, maintenance systems, and manufacturing operations.
- Hands‑on experience supporting safety and training programs in a manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing and standardized work practices.
- Experience with onboarding, training documentation, and safety systems.
- Mentorship from Safety, Operations, and Learning professionals.
