Summary
The Fabricator utilizes milling and drilling machines to fabricate parts and assemble dies and molds used in the manufacturing of advanced refractories. The Fabricator may be involved in the creation of new structures or repairing existing ones.

Education and Experience- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
- Working knowledge of safety protocols
- Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in math
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to interpret and understand technical documents/blueprints
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Valid state issued driver's license and reliable transportation
- Operates and maintains milling machines, lathe, drill press, saws and grinders
- Cut parts as needed and prepare for weld
- MiG and Tig welding – Required skill
- Perform welding tasks in designated and other departments as needed
- Review drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production
- Check all drawing and sketch information for the ability to fabricate various materials and designs with a high degree of accuracy
- Fabricate parts for maintenance as needed
- Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping
- Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task
- Plan proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment
- Check output for quality assurance
- Identify need for and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs
- Maintain a safe and clean workstation
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed; other duties may be assigned.
