We are seeking a detail-oriented Grinder Technician to join our manufacturing production team. This hands-on role focuses on operating precision grinding equipment, primarily for spring grinding, to ensure components meet exact specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, loud production environment.

Responsibilities

• Load parts accurately into grinding machines and set up equipment according to specifications.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve precise dimensions and surface finishes.
• Grind components to remove imperfections and ensure flatness, shape, or profile accuracy.
• Conduct quality checks on finished parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., dial calipers).
• Monitor equipment operation and production quality throughout the process.
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor troubleshooting on grinding machines.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience operating grinding machines or similar precision equipment preferred. Applicants MUST possess skills in grinding machines NOT handheld grinders.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and focus on quality.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.
• Good organizational skills and time management to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Work environment is loud and requires focus on precision; grinding is spring grinding, not deburring.
• Precision measurement skills using tools such as dial calipers are essential.

Benefits/Compensation

• Full Time
• Pay Rate is $17-$21 per hour
• Shift 1st shift 8a-4:30p
• Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
