Shifts:

2689 US-522, Selinsgrove, PA 17870. Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm, overtime as needed.

Pay:
The hourly pay rate for this position is $19.00/hour + benefits. This information is specific to Selinsgrove, PA and may not be applicable to other locations.

What your day in this role might involve at OC-BWI Distribution:

The Forklift Operator is an integral part of our production team, involved in daily processes and successful outcomes for our facility and its customers. This position works closely with teammates at multiple levels in customizing product, per specs, in preparation for shipment. The ideal candidate will be experienced and qualified to perform a variety of material handling duties related to the production of residential doors.

We're interested in hiring individuals who are responsible and are self-motivated.

* Read/interpret work orders to select the correct materials to move throughout the facility

* Receive incoming shipments: verify contents, inspect for damage, and document discrepancies

* Store materials in designated locations

* Pick and pull materials for production and shipment

* Load and unload doors of various weights and sizes into the designated truck trailers

* Conduct cycle counts and perform 5S+1 inventory control duties

* Collect trash and empty dumpsters

* Conduct pre-shift inspection of the forklift to ensure safety and operational compliance

* Provide safe operation of forklift throughout the facility

* Maintain a safe and clean working environment

* Help with door repairs and general housekeeping

* Maintain an adequate level of product and forklift knowledge

* Move components and materials safely and report issues to leadership

* Wear PPE such as composite/steel toed shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, gloves (per job function), and high visibility clothing.

What makes a successful OC-BWI Distribution team member:

Must haves include…

* Must be at least 18 Years Old

* At least one year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting

* At least one year of experience operating a forklift

* Work safely and follow all plant rules

* Show initiative, be a self-starter

* Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner

* Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have end of shift flexibility

* Required to mount and dismount forklift multiple times per day

* Forklift knowledge and safety procedures

* Ability to organize and maintain detailed records

* Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have ability to multi-task

* Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service

* Ability to use an RF scanner

* Ability to use a pallet jack safely

* Read a tape measure and do basic math

There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:

* Stand for 8 - 10 hours straight

* Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role

* Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 50-pounds)

* Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable

* Handle, control and feel raw materials and finished goods
