Job Summary:

As a plastic injection mold setup technician with Just Play, you will use your mechanical and machinery experience, and plastic injection mold experience, to play a key role in the production of plastic parts and components for a wide array of products.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Follow work instructions to set up, start up, and maintain injection molding equipment and machinery and install and remove molds.
• Maintain optimum molding processes, perform material handling/storage, and other miscellaneous jobs.
• Evaluate parts per molding and finishing guidelines.
• Releases parts for molding via check-off documentation
• Hook hoist to mold as well as lift mold from presses
• Maintain Inventory
• Maintain accurate setup records and documentation.
• Identify and recommend replacement parts, tools, or accessories as needed.
• Provide training to operators on equipment operation
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1-3 years of plastics molding experience highly preferred
• Candidates with extensive mechanical or machinery backgrounds will be considered and trained.
• Plastic injection molding experience
• Strong knowledge of machinery and equipment
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
• Manufacturing experience with a focus on problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and maneuver tooling weighing up to 10,000 lbs using hoists or cranes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with EPR/MRP Software preferred
• Experience with multimeters, air tools, hand tools, power tools, test equipment, gauges, scales, gantries, and hoists preferred
• Knowledge of the following machinery and equipment preferred:
  Conair Silo, control systems, chiller, forklift, scales, building water hose, hopper loaders, and new molds preferred
