JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that align customer demand, material availability, and manufacturing capacity. This role utilizes Oracle MRP tools and collaborates with Production, Planning, Procurement, Sales, and Shipping teams to ensure efficient execution of production plans.

Principal Responsibilities, Duties, & Tasks

Production Scheduling & Planning
  • Use Oracle MRP tools to schedule production based on system output and production feedback.
  • Develop and adjust production schedules to align with capacity, labor, and equipment availability.
Material & Resource Coordination
  • Work with Planning and Procurement teams to determine raw material availability.
  • Ensure consumables and production supplies are available for scheduled production runs.
Cross-Functional Communication
  • Communicate production schedules and order availability to Sales and Shipping teams.
  • Coordinate schedule changes with Production leadership to minimize disruptions.
Monitoring & Optimization
  • Monitor production performance and adjust schedules as needed to address constraints.
  • Identify potential capacity or material issues and proactively recommend solutions.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate scheduling data and production plans within Oracle and related systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of MRP and production scheduling principles
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Oracle
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing preferred
  • Prior experience in production scheduling or planning strongly preferred
