Role Overview

We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to ensure our incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products all meet the dimensional specifications required by mechanical engineering drawings. This role is hands‑on and critical to maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect incoming materials and reject or return anything that doesn't meet specifications
  • Monitor in-process production, conduct visual and measurement tests, and communicate required adjustments
  • Approve finished products through final and lot inspections
  • Document inspection results, re-work requirements, and quality logs
  • Perform first piece inspections using manual and advanced measurement equipment
  • Conduct roving manufacturing audits for part and process compliance
  • Maintain and calibrate measurement equipment; coordinate repairs as needed
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in a fast‑paced precision machining environment
  • Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Experience with measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, CMM, optical comparators, vision systems, and non‑contact measuring systems
  • Familiarity with first article inspections and capability studies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Effective communicator and collaborative team player
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SPC, control/run/trend charting, and process capability studies
  • CMM and OGP vision system operation
