Overview

WASTEWATER OPERATOR Mon Valley Sewage Authority is currently accepting applications for a WASTEWATER OPERATOR
. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Wastewater Operator to join our team. The operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining wastewater facilities to ensure safe and efficient service.

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment facilities in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Perform custodial duties and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Painting and upkeep of equipment and buildings.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the efficient and effective operation of wastewater treatment facilities.
• Operate a forklift and pallet jack.
• Respond to alarms and emergency situations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the CHIEF OPERATOR OR GENERAL MANAGER

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess or obtain, within 4 years, PA wastewater license class B, E and subclass 1, 4.
• The ability to perform heavy lifting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing to various heights is a must.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• This is a union job subject to collective bargaining agreement.
