Responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of day‑to‑day assigned Crush, Refinery, Milling or Packaging production operations department shift. Supports the Production Manager of Operations in monitoring and improving plant productivity.
What You’ll Be Doing- Build a safety culture where unsafe acts are not tolerated and employees and management share a common goal of zero injuries.
- Oversee assigned department production shift activities to ensure operations run at the highest levels of efficiency.
- Ensure the assigned shift is compliant with sanitation requirements; provide support in monthly inspections and implementation of corrective actions as needed.
- Commit to supplying safe food, maintaining a food safety culture within the site, continually improving the site’s food safety management system, and complying with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Track shift productivity improvements.
- Approve daily reports and KPRs for the assigned shift.
- Report and troubleshoot operations issues.
- Provide input to the Production Manager and/or Plant Manager to plan annual shutdowns.
- Support Process Safety Management programs where applicable.
- Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of the assigned shift in all aspects.
- Help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety, quality and production goals and demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Support continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in the assigned shift.
- Monitor KPRs and help develop plans to bring the assigned shift in line with Operations Excellence goals.
- Participate in daily production meetings to stay informed and ensure shift activities align.
- Participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions as needed.

- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, chemical engineering or related field, or equivalent progressive experience of 5+ years in soybean crushing, oil refining, milling, oil packaging operations, or related activities supporting industrial operations.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, and other technical software packages as needed.
- Ability to work odd hours, weekends, and a rotating shift schedule.
- Work schedule:
12‑hour rotating shift (48‑hour week/36‑hour week).
