The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be required to collaborate with the engineering team and quality department regularly.
MixFunctions
- Support energetic mix lead technician(s)
- Weigh-up of constituents, operation of mixing equipment, and correspondence with production personnel
- Prepare and mix chemical compounds according to established formulas and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of formulations, test results, and batch data.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Support current production operations via lab techniques, including wet chemistry compositional analysis, moisture analysis, and constant volume calorimetry
- Conduct laboratory tests to verify chemical properties and ensure product quality
- Conceptualize and assist in the creation of new laboratory work instructions in accordance with technical data packages or specification requirements
- Maintain accurate records of formulations, test results, and batch data
- Manage inventory of chemicals and general supplies within the laboratory
- Operate and maintain lab and mixing equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Ideal candidate will be able to transition quickly between laboratory and mix facility duties (Laboratory taking priority)
- Have working understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of chemical mixing and laboratory testing preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Organized, good time management skills, willingness to communicate, and values the importance of labeling materials
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
