Novares US LLC (formerly Key Plastics LLC) is currently looking for an experienced Production Planner.

We are a plastic injection molding facility that works with Tier 1 and 2 automotive customers. We have been at this location since 1960 and have seen many improvements throughout the years.

Main Missions
  • 1 - Draw up the three-month Master Production Schedule (Industrial and Sales Plan)
    • Draw up the three-month Master Production Schedule each week based on customer orders, stock objectives and production constraints.
    • Propose an adapted policy based on workload and technical constraints.
    • Organise a weekly meeting with Autonomous Production Units to submit workloads (Production Plan).
    • Monitor progress and compliance with the plant Production Plan.
    • Define and ensure respect of economic launch quantities for each part number according to management rules in force.
    • Draft the meeting minutes and distribute these.
  • 2 - Draw up the workload schedule
    • Analyse subcontracting possibilities based on requests from other group sites.
    • Establish workload simulations based on new.
    • Make the necessary decisions to optimise scheduling to prevent production interruptions and the overproduction of parts, in line with initial data.
  • 3 - Define the daily production sequence
    • Update the Production Plan daily.
    • Draw up the production plan according to Kanban levels, stock levels, Launch Orders (LO), maintenance requests, production imperatives and information produced by the IS.
    • Generate LOs, print them and make them available to the production team in accordance with the defined sequence.
    • Draw up the fixed launch schedule, ensure its distribution and its regular update.
    • Attend the daily production meeting.
    • Communicate with the customer logistics team to notify them of any change to the schedule and analyse the consequences.
    • Liaise permanently with the customer logistics technician and production supervisors to obtain all information useful for optimisation.
    • Modify the schedule based on different anomalies.
    • Establish Kanban loops, analyse their relevance and update at regular intervals.
    • Check the entry into stock of end products (PF) and semi-finished (SF) products.
    • Assess packaging requirements, identify insufficient quantities.
  • 4 - Upgrade the information system
    • Create data specific to scheduling in the decision-aid tool (calendar, manufacturing deadline, batch size, etc.).
    • Define emergency stock and minimum stock.
    • Update decision-aid tool data (batch size, Average Daily Consumption, change in quantity by UC, etc.), ensure reliability of this data.
    • Update data specific to logistics in the information system.
    • Monitor production schemes (assignment to unit, press/item, etc.).
    • Signal all anomalies detected in the technical data.
  • 5 - Help to manage modifications
    • Attend modification meetings.
    • Draw up schedules to define the availability of tools for modifications.
    • Check the feasibility beforehand and propose the schedule.
    • Inform the maintenance team of tool availability.
  • 6 - Help to continuously improve logistics
    • Suggest ways to improve stock reduction.
    • Monitor Master Production Schedule progress/delay.
    • Attend the daily Logistics performance meeting and update indicators.
    • Help to analyse deviations and progress daily using problem‑solving tools.
    • Take part in working groups (CCV, SMED, Kanban etc.).
    • Help to prepare the Industrial and Sales Plan.
    • Optimise press workload by proposing, in collaboration with the production team, the implementation of new mould/machine pairs.
