Job Summary

The Machine Operator plays a critical role in the New Build Department by expertly operating surface mount machines to ensure efficient production processes. This role involves hands‑on machine operation, monitoring, and maintenance to meet production quality and schedule requirements within a collaborative team environment.

• Carefully learn, understand, and comply with comprehensive, detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and quality in production processes.
• Operate surface mount machines by precisely loading components, overseeing machine functionality, and ensuring continuous operation with minimal downtime.
• Perform basic troubleshooting to quickly identify and resolve machine‑related issues, minimizing disruptions to the production line.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation, including production logs, machine settings, and maintenance records to support traceability and process improvement initiatives.
• Conduct counts and quality checks of finished goods and supplies to verify production outputs and report discrepancies as needed.
• Actively participate in ongoing team activities aimed at improving operational efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety through continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to support production goals, communicate machine status, and contribute to problem‑solving activities.
• Adhere strictly to workplace safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe and productive working environment for all team members.

• A high school diploma or equivalent educational background is typically expected; additional technical certifications related to machine operation or electronics manufacturing are advantageous.
