Description
Cima specializes in the design, fabrication, and installation of high-quality signage for diverse clients. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custom Sign Mechanic III to join our team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Leading fabrication projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Developing and implementing innovative fabrication techniques and processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Training and mentoring junior fabricators on advanced fabrication techniques and best practices.
- Collaborating with design teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
- Managing inventory and materials procurement for sign fabrication projects.
- Conducting thorough quality inspections and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during fabrication.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications highly desirable.
- 5+ years of experience in sign fabrication or a related field, with a focus on complex projects and advanced fabrication techniques.
- Expertise in CNC Machining, Welding, and other advanced fabrication processes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; work with their hands handle, or feel, whether directly manipulating components or using controls on an assembly machine. Employee must be able to talk or hear over shop noise. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms;
climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 to 75 pounds and move it for at least 50 feet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
