**** SUMMARY
* * The primary purpose of this position is to perform assignments requiring judgment and problem-solving skills relating to robotic mig-welding processes.  Assist with set up and change over’s as it relates to mig welding.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
* ** Adopt a specific group of cells and focus on all aspects of welding robustness for the assigned area.**
* ** Teach robots points for optimum mig weld robustness.**
* ** Adjust weld fixtures to control end product dimensions and as well as mig weld gap/robustness.**
* ** Develop preventative maintenance procedures related to weld fixtures and weld guns.**
* ** Improve process robustness, uptime and cycle time by researching and improving weld consumables.**
* ** Maintain shim adjustment logs for assigned area.**
* ** Document and improve welding parameters.**
* ** Provides input in evaluation of equipment and processes.**
* ** Understand incoming part quality and its effect on mig weld/dimensional robustness.**
* ** Performs other functions as required.
**** QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

** EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
** Prefer an associate’s degree in a technical field.  Minimum of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 3-5years of experience in welding and welding techniques.  Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
