Manufacturing Scheduler

Belstra Milling Co. is a family‑owned agricultural business based in Demotte, IN. We are searching for an individual to work as a manufacturing scheduler and dispatcher in our fulfillment department at our DeMotte location. Belstra thrives on making quality feed for livestock producers of all size. Our manufacturing and quality assurance processes and standards exceed current industry regulations. In addition, this position must work in compliance with all the company policies, local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.

• Review and organize daily feed orders
• Gather and utilize input from customer service, production planning, logistics and supply chain to make the daily schedules for two plants in De Motte
• Make hourly, daily, and weekly strategy decisions on priority orders, errors, delays, and change orders
• Effectively communicate daily schedules and changes
• Proficiency in order entry and manufacturing process to better understand schedules and capabilities
• Back up areas of order building, fulfillment, logistics and van schedules

• Working knowledge of IT products and Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn the BMC system quickly and efficiently
• Ability to operate under stressful conditions
• Commitment to providing excellent products and services to customers and their livestock in a timely manner

• Ability to regularly lift 60 pounds
• Work near moving mechanical parts
• Ability to work in a dusty, cold, hot, and humid environment
• Withstand exposure to seasonal weather conditions
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Previous feed manufacturing experience preferred but not required
• Associate degree with 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing OR
• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on manufacturing, management and system studies
